Miller, D., 2006, World War Two Features Annotated onto Braunton Burrows Habitat Map (Cartographic). SDV339606.

A large slack contains a large number of collapsed pits, ranging in size from 2 metres x 2 metres to 10 metres in length. In one waterlogged pit two timbers (?posts) and metalwork, including vehicle parts (?part of an armoured car) are visible.
Good condition. Stable. No obvious signs that pits are collapsing further. Some military vehicle driver training in area, but not causing damage.

Breeds, J., 2011, Untitled Source (Personal Comment). SDV346381.

The pits are within a late 20th, early 21st century demolition training area and are filled with debris. Other details: Correspondence with S. Knight.
