A narrow earthwork bank, circa 3m wide, which forms an oval shaped enclosure, circa 53m long by 31m wide, is visible on aerial photographs taken in 1964, within Stover Park, Teigngrace. The earthwork corresponds with an oval shaped copse shown in this location on the First Edition Ordnance Survey map of the late 19th century and is interpreted as a possible 19th century ornamental enclosure ring of a tree clump associated with Stover Park. It is not clear on the available aerial photographs whether the trees were set on a mound, as suggested elsewhere within this record by Adam, Cox & Chandler, owing to dense tree cover. The earthwork bank has likely been levelled as part of clay quarrying works in this location by 1999. A near identical and largely extant tree clump is recorded to the immediate north (MDV74892).
