Full description
Department of Environment, 1988, Alwington, 46 (List of Blds of Arch or Historic Interest). SDV20166.
Shippon approximately 20 metres south of Rollstone Farmhouse.
Shippon with hayloft. Late 18th/early 19th century. Cob and stone; hipped corrugated iron roof. One storey and loft. Cob first floor above 4 round stone piers to formerly open-fronted ground floor; openings now infilled by concrete block with 20th century doors. Nineteenth century outshut with pantile roof to right.
Interior: roughly-chamfered ground-floor beams; 5-bay A-frame roof, each truss having pegged collar and ridge purlin set in crossed apex. Other details: LBS number 91367.
