Grenofen is 'Grenefenne' in 1238 Assize Rolls and 1294.

Farmstead included in survey. Visited on 15/10/2003. Five buildings recorded, ranging in date between the 16th/17th century (farmhouse) up to the 1930s/40s (open fronted shed). There are also a numbber of 20th centruy buildings on the site.
