Full description
N.QUINNELL, 7/10/1981, WORKSHEET, Untitled Source (Report - Survey). SDV289111.
The farmer's wife at bowden farm says that two 'bronze age axes' have been found on the farm in the past by 'outsiders'. Present location unknown, possibly torquay museum.(n. Quinnell, 7/10/1981, worksheet). Possible ref. In arch. J. Vis=21/12/1982 (greeves, t. ). Prehistoric axe found when excavating a pond at bowden farm in 1977. Now said to be in exeter museum. Flints have been found in most of the fields of bowden farm. Another axe was found c.10 years ago.
