Buck, C., 2006, Gawton Mine, Devon: Archaeological Assessment, 28 (Report - Assessment). SDV344672.

The site in which Sims Shaft is located is wooded, but also characterised by pits and spoil heaps. The 2 metres high spoil heaps are scattered both north and south of the probable shaft site. Other details: Figure 35, site 12.1.
