Gas Clothing Store. This 18 foot span, 3.5-bay temporary brick hut is shown on the earliest known Air ministry site plan (June 1940). The contents stored here (gas capes, respirators, rubber gloves and wellington boots) were only to be used in the event of an enemy gas attack on the aerodrome. One room functioned as an undressing area. Originally it had timber-framed trusses supporting corrugated asbestos sheeting, but timber trusses may have been replaced with steel.
In good condition, with replacement windows and doors. Now used as part of the Jersey European Training Centre. Other details: Map 6, Site 226.

Ordnance Survey, 2010, MasterMap (Cartographic). SDV344030.
