Full description

Royal Air Force, 1946 - 1949, Royal Air Force Aerial Photographs (Aerial Photograph). SDV342938.

The two buildings shown in this position are of unequal width, and appear to have apex roofs.

Two Romney huts on the Ministry of Aircraft Production site.
Semicircular in section, the Romney hut is a 12-bay shed clad with 24-guage corrugated iron. Used primarily for storage and workshop accommodation.
The two Romney huts here are not featured on the 1944 Air Ministry site plans, but are present on the 1947 Royal Air Force aerial photograph.
