Possible position of cairn indicated by vaguely darker area on aerial photography.

A small prehistoric cairn on the north flank of Metheral Hill, east of the major north-south reave and north of the two ‘Tawton’ boundstones. This cairn is moss-covered, with some whortleberry and grasses. One stone is visible. Other details: Saved in T:/drive.

Greeves has not stated where this cairn lies in relation to the other two approximately 30.0 meters to the south / south-west (scheduled as 28725 in 1999) and they are not referred to at all in his description. It is unclear whether this cairn could have been confused with these two and the aerial photography is also a little inconclusive.
