Full description
Ordnance Survey, 1880-1899, First Edition Ordnance 25 inch map (Cartographic). SDV336179.
Wall shown on 19th century map running east to west on the east side of the 'Tower'.

The wall is within the Scheduled area of Slapton Chantry College. Other details: Monument 24844.

Garden walls immediately east of the tower of the Collegiate Chantry of St Mary at Slapton was Listed on 25th March 1991. Garden walls probably built in the 18th or early 19th century. Slate rubble with string courses under rubble capping. L-shaped on plan, abuts chantry tower at west end and stables and cartshed range of The Chantry at the south end where there is a pointed arch doorway through the wall. The wall now encloses a small orchard. Other details: LBS Number 99901.
