Robinson, R., 1976, Dean Prior Barrows (Worksheet). SDV346527.

Barrow G. A circular mound 6.0 meters in diameter and approximately 1.5 meters high, grass covered, appears undisturbed.

Grinsell, L. V., 1978, Dartmoor Barrows, 138 (Article in Serial). SDV273224.

(Site visited 21/6/1977) East of Skerraton Gate, about nine mounds, possibly clearance heaps.

Skerraton Gate E '2' at SX70246493 of 14.0 metres diameter by 0.5 metres high. One of four cairns 150 metres south of Skerraton Gate with a pitted top but good shape.

This site was considered for designation as a Scheduled Ancient Monument during the Monument Protection Programme. The programme ended before the entire list of sites was successfully scheduled so this is included on a local list of Nationally Important Sites.
