Full description
Fisher, J., 1999, East Devon Conservation Area Appraisals: Sidbury, 4, 8 (Report - non-specific). SDV346859.
Fore Street contains a mixture of shops, inns and houses of up to three storeys with painted render and slate predominating. Other details: Maps, photograph.

Early 19th century. Two storeys stucco faced, gable end slate roof, shallow eaves cornice. Three windows front, centre blind first floor. Two-light casements, formerly with Gothic glazing. Ground floor has one casement with shutters and early 19th century rectangular bay shop window of 4 by 2 panes, frieze and moulded cornice. Entablature carried over doorways each side with unusual wrought iron scrolled supports. Door set back, that to shop modern, house door to right of 6 fielded panels. The Old Clock House, Red Lion Inn, Sidbury Post Office, School House, Oak Cottage, Royal Oak Inn and Nos 103 to 106 form a group.
