Full description
Ordnance Survey, 1880-1899, First Edition Ordnance 25 inch map (Cartographic). SDV336179.
Building not shown on the First Edition Ordnance Survey (1880s-1890s) map so date of 1885 assumed to be fairly accurate.

Attractive single storey red brick YMCA (Young Men’s Christian Association) building on the south side of Court Street. Slate roof with gabled ends and red ridge tiles with curled finial ends. Extension to the eastern (left) side of the building with door and adjacent window and further extension to the rear. Two more windows on the main elevation all of which are surrounded with red and cream brick border. Windows are all arched. There is a verandah across the front elevation of the building and black-painted metal railings and gate flanked with brick gate posts. Building renovated via a lottery award (date unknown).
