Full description
Ordnance Survey, 1880-1899, First Edition Ordnance 25 inch map (Cartographic). SDV336179.
Leat depicted on the First Edition Ordnance Survey map (approximately 1880s in date) but not named.

Shilstone Leat surveyed and recorded flowing between SX656902 - SX660901 (Forder Brook tributary). Fairly strong flow across common, under road and into Higher Shilston ground. On common needs vegetation clearance in places, and banks work down by stock crossing in other places. Other details: T:\Dartmoor Leats Survey / Q:\MAPDATA\HISTORIC\LeatsProject.
