Knight, S., 2011, Site Visit to Affaland Sillick and Claw Moors (Personal Comment). SDV348013.

Farmer reported that there was a pillbox near the routeway at 232569,99761, surviving but overgrown, guarding the eastern entrance onto Affaland Moor at the bridge. Possibly a magazine store rather than a pillbox. Images of the building are available to view at
P:\Culture\Archaeology\GEN\Images\Ground\SX\SX39NW.
