Bodman, M., 2003, Watermills and Other Water-Powered Sites in Devon, 130 (Report - Interim). SDV325576.
Bodman lists a documentaryreference to a mill at Powderham in 1305. Otherwise the references are 19th century. The saw and grist mills there were destroyed by fire in 1852. A subsequent reference to repairs to the waterwheel gearing by Bodleys in 1870 suggests that the mills were rebuilt.
