A roughly circular mound up to circa 11.5m in diameter is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs of 1946 on the on the west facing slopes of a spur south of Ducksmoor Covert, Chudleigh. The mound might be a cairn of later prehistoric date, part of a large group recorded along the spur. No evidence of damage to the earthwork is apparent on the 1946 aerial photographs. The mound is obscured from view by a dense tree canopy on images derived from aerial photographs of 2016 and it is therefore not possible to record the condition of the earthwork. However, it may be assumed that the earthwork might be affected by root growth.
