Summary

A, Untitled Source (Migrated Record). SDV54479.

Rapid examination of ap shows the rectilinear enclosure (a) probably of prehistoric or roman date with e-facing entrance, visible as a cropmark c.200m s of lake farm. The presence of possible pits in its nw corner suggests that this enclosure may be an enclosed settlement site.

Small rectilinear ditched enclosure visible as cropmark on dapg ap (nb this appears to be a discrete site from sx89ne6) (silvester card index). Site clearly visible on cuc air photograph. The enclosure has slightly curving sides, a quite broad ditch, and a very clear entrance to the east, and has maximum overall dimensions of c.80m ns and ew. Other cropmarks of a field system on slightly different alignment from the present one are visible, but nothing particular at the ngr of sx89ne/6 (griffith).

A single ditch rectilinear cropmark is visible on aerial photographs (p1-12) . Roughly 48m x 44m, with 5.75m wide entrance in east side. It is likely that this site appears as a duplicated record in the Devon SMR: CIN 9327. The feature was digitally plotted as part of the National Mapping Programme.
