Description
(TQ4214 3412) Mound shown (1)
A large conical earthen mound 6.4m high and 17.5m in diameter with a small circular top some 5.0m wide. There is no trace of a ditch or any other associated earthworks. It is situated some 50m E of the A22 north-south road, on the edge of a ridge, but not in a strong defensive position. Possibly a belvedere connected with Kidbrooke Park, but it could be a small motte. Surveyed 1:2500 (2)
