A type FW3/22 pillbox on the cliff top at the end of York Road.

Full description

1996: A low-level aerial photograph taken in 1948 shows a type FW3/22 pillbox on the cliff top at the end of York Road. Its entrance is on the W face and it appears to have a protective skirt of concrete. <1> <2>

There was no metalled road along the cliff top at this point but by 1960 Kings Parade had been built and the pillbox, directly in its path, had been demolished. <3>
