Summary
Pillbox (destroyed), beach, St. Osyth
Full description
An aerial photograph taken by the RAF in 1946 shows what appears to be the indistinct shape of a pillbox standing on the beach at the S end of a row of anti-tank blocks. February 1941 aerial photographs show that although the St. Osyth anti-tank blocks were in position at that date many of the pillboxes had not yet been built and this pillbox appears to have been built after Feb 1941 on the SW side of the small building referred to in SMR 10756. <1> <2>
An aerial photograph taken in 1960 shows no sign of it <3>
