Full description
Contemporary records state, A/T ditch, clearing of bank and pillbox. O.S. No. 144, N.W. of Rectory and adj. railway. <1>
O.S. No. 144 is the field E of Mount Bures level crossing flanked by Old Barn Road and Hall Road. Aerial photographs taken in 1946 and 1949 show this pillbox or its remains standing immediately to the E of the road junction about 40 yards E of the level crossing. The pillbox type cannot be determined. <2> <3>
