Contemporary records state, 2 pillboxes and deposit of silt from river dredging. O.S. No. 104, between R. Stour and Colchester Road. Map ref. 357519. (Mil. Ed.) <1>
An aerial photograph taken in 1946 shows the indistinct shape of a pillbox, in field OS No. 104, a few yards from the W bank of the R. Stour. Its type cannot be determined. <2>
