Summary
Pillbox destroyed
Full description
An aerial photograph taken in August 1947 shows what is almost certainly a rectangular pillbox, partly beneath a tree, in the SW corner of a field on the E side of the Al30. This position is entirely logical and fills a gap in the GHQ defence line. <1>
An aerial photograph taken two years later, in June 1949, shows it to have been removed by that date although the soil disturbance marks could still be seen. <2>
