Full description
Low level aerial photographs taken in August 1947 show a “cantilever” pillbox standing on a track E of Warner’s Bridge. This position overlooks meadows to the E and would have guarded against an infantry attack on Rochford Airfield from this direction. <1>
The track and the cleared position of the pillbox, still survives but nothing of the structure remains.
