Full description

A pillbox is listed in contemporary records as having stood "on sea wall" at 477170 (Military Grid Reference).<1> This is confirmed locally. After it was destroyed by floods the remains were left by the sea wall.<2> Visited in 1993, the remains were, in fact, discovered 10 yards to the E of the wall on the saltings.
