Full description
1994: Facing NE across the sunken railway cutting is a 14' x 15' concrete pillbox with a blast wall off its SW face. It stands on waste ground 50 yards to the N of the B1137 road. There are three loopholes, plus one in the blast wall, and the walls are 3'6" thick. The pillbox is in a dilapidated condition with spray paint on the outside and much of the interior corrugated iron shuttering rusty and hanging off. One photo of site. <1>
1994: SITE ASSESSMENT: The site is up for sale and the pillbox will probably be demolished.
2007: The site was sold, re-developed and the pillbox demolished. The area is now an Aldi Supermarket.
