Full description
An aerial photograph taken in 1946 shows the outline of a hexagonal pillbox standing on the S side of the former A12 Colchester Road. This siting is entirely logical - the anti-tank ditch of the GHQ Line crossing the road some 50 yards to the NE. <1> Nothing of it now remains - the area is now a large roundabout surrounded by industrial units.
