A local survey in 1979 describes a "rectangular, concrete pillbox facing NE with blast wall" at this point. <1> This can be seen on an aerial photograph taken in 1981. <2> It was demolished, or buried, when the A12 Chelmsford by-pass was constructed in 1987.
