Contemporary records state, "Pill box. Field No. 256, Thames Haven. Map ref. 160000" (Mil.Ed.). <1> This map reference places the pillbox on the sea wall overlooking the Thames. The entire area is now part of Shell Haven Refinery and no pillboxes remain on the site. Pillbox recorded on AP 106G LA 205 1085, 3 April 1945, at TQ 7172 8134. <2>
