Full description
The Outer London Defence Ring anti-tank ditch stretched from Abridge Road, E of Pettitt's Hall, to this point and then proceeded SE towards Chigwell Row. Just outside the E corner of the garden of Pudding House overlooking a wide valley to the E are two very large pieces of rough concrete - two of them 10' x 2' x 2'. They are almost certainly the remains of a pillbox base. Three photos of site. <1>
