Contemporary records state, "A/T ditch and pillbox. Hall Farm, Widdington. O.S. Nos. 178,179. Map ref. 000507" (Mil.Ed.). <1> An aerial photograph taken by the RAF in 1949 shows the indistinct shape of a pillbox standing at the junction of two fields where the original anti-tank ditch turned to the SE. <2> There are pieces of rough concrete and re-inforcement rods a few yards away in the scrub.
