Full description

At the W end of Manor Road, inside a playing field, once stood a pillbox. This is referred to in contemporary records as, "O.S. No.41, Playing field at Duck Street, Little Easton. Pillbox in S.W. corner. Map ref. 055428." (Mil. Ed.) <1> This is confirmed by an aerial photograph taken in 1960 which shows the regular sides of an FW3/22 pillbox with the entrance on the NW face. <2> <3> The pillbox was demolished to clear the ground for a car park to the sports hall which stands some yards to the NW.
