A pillbox, once disguised with a black sloping roof, is reliably reported to have stood on the N side of Duck Street overlooking a meadow and the River Chelmer. <1> This pillbox can be seen on an aerial photograph taken in 1960. Although possibly an FW3/24 its type cannot be positively identified. <2> <3> One photo of site. <4>
