An aerial photograph taken by the RAF in 1946 shows the shape of a pillbox standing on the cliff edge 30 yards to the SE of Burnt House, formerly Southcliffe Lodge. <1> It is of the FW3/22 variety with an anti-aircraft well on its landward side. <2>
