Contemporary records state, "Pillbox and dannert wire. Naze Car Park, N. of Mabel Greville Home. Map ref. 710409" (Mil.Ed.). <1> The Mabel Greville Home stood at NGR TM 26332305 with the Naze Car Park 100/ 150 yards to the NE. This pillbox probably stood on the E side of the car park overlooking the sea.
