The anti-tank blocks of the Stanier Line ran along the SW boundary of All Saints churchyard before turning W and then N to a pillbox at this location. Aerial photographs taken in 1946 to 1949 show it to have been an hexagonal pillbox with its entrance on the E side. An anti-tank wall can be seen around its W side together with an anti-tank ditch further to the W. <1> <2> <3>
