An aerial photograph taken in 1948 shows a hexagonal pillbox on the N section of the Stanier Line c. 100 yards from the River Stour. This pillbox, probably with a protective "skirt", still existed in an aerial photograph taken in 1960. <1> <2> The area is now a refinery.
