Full description
Railway station, formerly GER (Hertford branch). Small brick station office on up platform, 2 curved platforms recently lengthened, short wooden canopies on wooden pillars, 2 tracks and bay, steps to road bridge at N end of station <1>. Only the platforms remain; the station buildings have been demolished and replaced by modern metal and plastic structures <2>. This station served the pleasure gardens at Rye House [12664] in the later 19th century.
