- TANK TRAP (World War II - 1939 AD to 1945 AD)
Full description
There are at least ten 'conical-type' <1> anti-tank obstacles buried in the thick undergrowth at the junction of Bradmore Lane and Station Road. The NW corner of the lane has six in a staggered formation which appear to be in good condition, and the SE corner of the lane has four, which are considerably battered. Each conical obstacle is 3' across at the base, tapering to 1' at the flat top, & is 2' high. This is the largest surviving formation of conical blocks in the county <2> and is worthy of preservation.
