Full description
Barrow, 1.6m high. Diameter varies between 40m and 46m. The north side of the mound has been damaged by the construction of a bunker for the former golf course <1>. Field called Barrow Field <1>. On the crest of a hill overlooking the River Lea. The bowl barrow, now surrounded by a housing estate, is of large size, and has never been excavated. It may have been used for a post-medieval beacon [4001].
