Full description
The former Anglican chapel is one of a pair of matching chapels within Spalding Cemetery (see MLI125648), the other being for nonconformists (see MLI97743). It was built in 1854, in an Early English style with red brick and stone dressings. It has a raised gabled roof with stone copings and kneelers, and a bell turret supported on the apex of the front gable. An ashlar doorway with orders of roll mouldings, dogtooth ornament in the arch, and colonnettes in the jambs is to the front gable. Above the doorway are two lancet windows with a vesica opening situated above them. The side elevations have three bays of lancet windows and a gabled vestry to the north with a stone turret. The building was being used as an oecumenical chapel in 2010. {1}{2}
