Full description

Roman pottery and the site of a pottery kiln were seen after ploughing at the north end of the field (OS 248) called 'King's Hill', Wrangle.{1}{2}
The site is under crop. A cursory perambulation revealed a scatter of Romano-British coarse pottery, but no kiln debris was seen. The pottery was dated to the 3rd to 4th century and is held by the Boston Archaeology Group, by whom it has been dated. No kiln debris was retained.{1}
Romano-British pottery was found at TF4134 5310 in 1937 during trenching.{3}{4}
