Full description
Three sides of this small moat survive, enclosing an orchard, with no evidence of a building site. It is almost certainly ornamental & probably C18th. Published survey (25'), revised. {1} Position of earthwork between the church & surviving part of 'the house with 20 chimneys' strongly suggests it to be an early manor house site. Surveyed by V. Ancliffe {3}
