Full description

The headmaster of Morton School found a skull and bones in 1964. The remains were in a deep plough furrow about 2 feet down, without any associated finds. They were sent to the British Museum and were those of an adult male perhaps of Neolithic or early Bronze Age date or possibly Anglo-Saxon. The skull is said to be in the Stoke Rochford Training College Museum. {1}
