Parish:BILLINGBOROUGH, SOUTH KESTEVEN, LINCOLNSHIRE

Full description

Ditches in spinney, pottery south of spinney, B.F.E. (?Billingborough Fen Edge) type.{1}
The NGR may be incorrect here - if spinney referred to is the Bronze Age saltern SAM 302 - i.e. only spinney visible on O.S. 6 inch for some distance around - it would be inconsistent with finds from 'south of spinney' {3} Site fieldwalked 9th June 1976: 60 sherds, 1 scraper, polished stone axe (broken) {2}
