Several intersecting straight and curved ditch lines one to an irregular enclosure with one rectangular corner attached. there is a cropmark circle in the area. {1}{2}
There is a circular cropmark, seen from the road, at TF131114; and St Joseph lists ring ditches at TF130114. The site is under crop and there is no surface evidence. Farm labourers who were working in the field cannot recall any archaeological finds being made.{3}

A very large complex of cropmarks with further elements of the complex extending to the west, north-west and south-west (see PRNs 33379, 33421, 34757). Cropmarks include large rather irregular curvilinear ditched enclosures - probably field boundaries, possibly seven ring ditches, two of which are double-ditched and one of which is possibly defined by a ring of pits, though it could represent a hengi-form enclosure. A cluster of six large rectangular pits at TF13251120 could possibly be grubenhauser pits. There are a few very slight traces of smaller, possibly settlement, enclosures within the larger field boundaries. A possible straight trackway aligned north-west to south-east lies on the eastern edge of the complex. This can be seen on RCHME aerial photographs and has been sketch plotted at 1:2500 for the Deepings bypass desktop study. {5}{6}
Trial trenching was undertaken at TF1323 1129 to investigate a circular ring gully that was seen on aerial photographs. The trial trenching revealed a deep linear ditch with a "V" shaped profile. A deposit that ran parallel to the ditch has been identified as remnants of the late Neolithic early Bronze age barrow mound. A trial trench was also excavated at TF1330 1130, again on an area that had previously been identified on aerial photographs as a possible barrow ring ditch. The trial trenching revealed a west to east aligned ditch which probably represents the one seen on the aerial photographs and There may be the remains of a Bronze Age barrow cemetery. {7}{8}
An excavation (centred at TF1320 1124) carried out prior to construction of the Market Deeping bypass recorded a late Neolithic or early Bronze Age ring ditch which had been allowed to silt up naturally rather than being deliberately backfilled. Animal bone and a flint scraper were found in one of the fills. No traces of a mound were identified within the ring ditch, and no traces of a second expected ring ditch were found. A linear feature thought to be a trench with possible postholes was also recorded, thought to be associated with a mortuary structure.{9}
