Full description
Site of Scrivelsby Court is demolished except for outbuildings at TF2699 6603 and TF2699 6606. It was the home of the Dymokes, Champions of England since the time of Richard II. The Old Gate House and office block at TF2699 6603 retains 14th to 16th century features, but is mainly Georgian or later in date. The remains of an ornamental moat can be seen. {1}{2}{3}

Scrivelsby Court is a Grade I gatehouse, which is now a small country house. It was built in the early 13th century, with alterations and additions in about 1380, 1574, the late 18th century and 1958 to 1960. The building was constructed in red brick and has limestone ashlar dressings. {6}
