All Saints Church dates to the Norman period (1066AD to 1200AD) and retains fragments of Norman architecture. The church underwent alterations in the Early English period and has some Perpendicular additions and alterations (1180AD to around 1520AD). The tower is Perpendicular above and Early English below. {1}{2}{3}{4}

Stained glass in this church dates to the late 13th to early 14th centuries.{6}

During a watching brief on the tower in 1998, stonework thought to belong to the original Norman structure was revealed. The stonework was of high quality and incorporated mouldings, including a string course which continued along part of the north wall of the Norman nave. As this stonework was obviously intended to be seen, it is thought that the Norman ground level was probably about 1m lower than at present. The stratigraphic sequence also demonstrates that the existing raised ground level predates buttressing added in the 15th century and in 1886. The ground-raising probably took place in about the late 13th/early 14th century, around the time of the construction of the south aisle. Nine burials were also revealed, aligned east/west (except for Burial 7) with heads to the west. Burial 7 appeared to be a charnel pit containing at least two individuals. Of the remaining burials, at least seven were of adult individuals. Burials 2 and 3 contained iron clench nails, representing coffin remains. The remaining burials appeared to be simple earth graves. Finds recovered from the graves indicate burial in the late 13th or early 14th century. Burials 1 to 3 and 4 and 6 may represent family groups.{7}{8}

A parish church, which is now redundant. It was constructed in the 12th century and underwent alterations in the 13th, 14th and 15th centuries, 1611 and 1873, and was repaired in 1886 by R. J.
