Harrington Hall was built probably around 1535. This date is said to come from a radiocarbon date for a beam. The house was rebuilt in 1673 and embellished later.
The hall is associated with Tennyson; here he wrote poetry to Rosa Baring (Maud) who lived at the hall. The hall was badly damaged by fire during restoration work on the night of 4th November 1991 (See Lincolnshire Echo cutting in the HER parish file). Restoration work was carried out not long after, with the owners expected in October 1993 to move into the hall in December of that year. Further repairs were to be carried out at this time and into the following years. {1}{2}{4}
A country house built in the late 16th century for the Copledykes and rebuilt in the late 17th century by Vincent Amcotts. It was altered and extended in the 18th century. The house was constructed of red brick with some blue brick and dressed stone and ashlar. It has a slate roof.
